I love the picture of my body being the temple of the Holy Spirit, and having to be cleansed of the “marketplace” that has been set up there. Have I turned what is intended to be a temple into a marketplace? Is He allowed to come in and look around and turn some things over? Is my temple establishment okay with the changes He effects to making this temple a house of prayer? Ooh, so convicting this morning.
As a cradle Catholic, we were always taught that our bodies were temples of the Holy Spirit. Somehow life gets in the way of our remembering that. Fr.Barron is gifted in putting spiritual things into a language that reminds us of who we truly are in God’s eyes.
Thanks for this post
Thanks for the affirmation, G. I’m looking forward to the Catholicism series that Fr. Barron has done…have you seen any of it yet? I’d love to have the whole series.
Hi Lyn,
yes my husband got it, It pretty good, I would have liked more lingering shots on the places he visits though!
Have you seen any of it on EWTN?
no, are they showing it now? I thought it was being advertised as future presentations…darn.
